HiDose any one know if you can get a bigger fuel tank for the 17 Mustang GT as they are fairly thirsty and over here in Australia some of our fuel stops are a long way between each other (I am talking 100"s of miles) :ford:

Highly doubtful. This would require someone to manufacture one outside of Fords spec. Theres also no market for this, so I can"t imagine a company would invest in the tooling to make one. But your trunk can carry extra gas tanks.

How many "100s of miles"? If you"re not going nuts no the throttle all time, you should be able to go 350~375 miles on a tank (25 mpg x 15 gal) and still have a gallon left.

Gas guzzlers exist in Australia too. They like their V8s just as much as we do.But no, no option for bigger tanks. I agree though, a slightly bigger tank would be nice, but your only real option would be to carry a spare fuel can with in case you run low.

Go Mad Max on it and rig up your own barrel gas tanks strapped to the side and then do a mod where you can siphon the gas off for a built in flamethrower, it would be so cool.TC

This. I used to own a 2003 Jetta TDI with the famous ALH engine. I heavily modified it. It got 45 mpg and had over 200hp, about 325 ft lb of torque. TDI"s stock would regularly get over 50 mpg.
