Helping a friend work on a 94 K1500 Chevrolet with 350 engine. We are taking the exhaust manifolds off and need to remove thealuminum bracket that has the alternator and power steering pump on itto get the black steel bracket off that also mounts to the manifold bolts on the drivers side. The black brackethas slotted holes where it goes over the manifold studs but there are 3 other bolts that attach it to the aluminum bracket and power steering pump by the lines. We already have the alternator removed and it looks like the only way to get to the other bolts that hold the black bracket to the aluminum bracket and power steering pump is by removing the power steering pump pulley. It has an Allen typesockethead bolt holding the pulley on and it is so tight we can"t get it loose and we even had an impact on it. Is this a left hand thread by any chance ? and can you heat this pulleya little without damaging the seals in the power steering unit ?

I loaned one from Autozone and you just have to pay a deposit, and you get it all back if you bring the tool back. Last one I did was sure tight. I didn't think it was going to come off at first.
